SEPTEMBER 13 -
CANCER AND STROKE AWARENESS NIGHT; 7-9PM; Monmouth
Medical Center and the Holmdel First Aid Squad have partnered
to present this program which features a panel of MMC physicians
and health care professionals who will focus on the importance
of cancer and stroke awareness and prevention, screening guidelines,
risk assessment and treatment options; Light refreshments
and educational materials will be available; At the Holmdel

FREE PROSTATE CANCER SCREENING; 4PM; Men age 50 and
over who have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer and
are not under the care of a urologist are eligible to participate.
Men at high risk with a family history of prostate cancer,
or African American men should begin screening at age 40.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP; Bereavement
support helps those in mourning to better cope with the overwhelming
thoughts, emotions and stresses people experience after the
loss of a loved one. This group is for those who have lost
a loved one in the past year. Meets for 6 consecutive weeks.
Though the program is free, registration is required. For

Cancer Society for women cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy
and radiation. Learn to cope with the side effects of treatment
