The specialized field of neuro-oncology involves the diagnosis
and management of tumors of the central nervous system, which consists
of the brain and spinal cord.
Each year, nearly
20,000 brain and other tumors of the CNS are diagnosed, prompting
the need for a course of treatment that ensures the best possible
outcomes. Because brain tumors are a complex array of diseases,
